Overview

Neurodegeneration is a deterioration of the nerves. Causes may include diseases, infections, tumors, and exposure to toxins.

Symptoms

Movement, speech, and other mental and physical functions can be affected.

Treatments

Treatments such as medications and physical therapy may help manage symptoms. Usually, there's no cure.
