Osteosarcoma

Description

A type of bone cancer that begins in the cells that form bones.

Overview

Osteosarcoma most often occurs in the long bones of the legs and, sometimes, the arms. But it can happen in any bone. It tends to occur in teenagers and young adults.

Symptoms

Symptoms include localized bone pain and swelling.

Treatments

Treatment typically involves surgery and chemotherapy.
