Avoid caffeine, nicotine, alcohol, and recreational drugs. Get sufficient sleep, regular exercise, and practice relaxation techniques, such as deep breathing or yoga.

  • First occurrence
  • Suicidal thoughts

Make an appointment to see a doctor if:

  • Worsening severity or frequency
  • Interfering with ability to work, maintain relationships, or complete daily tasks
