Pimple
Description
A skin condition that occurs when hair follicles plug with oil and bacteria.
Overview
Pimples are inflamed, tender bumps with white pus at their tips. They typically appear on the face, neck, chest, back, and shoulders. These areas of the skin have the most working oil glands. Too much oil and a buildup of bacteria make pimples worse.
Symptoms
Symptoms range from blackheads to pus-filled pimples or large, inflamed, and tender bumps.
Treatments
Treatment can include topical creams or oral medicines.
