Overview

Premenstrual syndrome (PMS) is group of symptoms that many women experience, usually between ovulation and the time a period (menstruation) starts.

Symptoms

Symptoms include mood swings, tender breasts, food cravings, fatigue, irritability, and depression.

Treatments

Lifestyle changes and prescription medications may reduce symptoms.
