Overview

Progeria (Hutchinson-Gilford syndrome) is a progressive genetic disorder that causes children to age rapidly.

Symptoms

Symptoms, such as slow growth and hair loss, begin to appear in the first year or 2 of life.

Treatments

The average life expectancy is about 13 years.
