Renal cell carcinoma

Overview

Renal cell carcinoma is most common in older adults. Risk factors include cigarette smoking and obesity.

Symptoms

Symptoms include blood in the urine and persistent pain in the back or the side.

Treatments

Treatment may include surgery, radiation, medications, or destroying the cancer with heat or cold.
