Rhinitis is irritation and swelling of the mucous membrane in the nose. It can be caused by a virus, allergy, or irritant.


Symptoms include a runny, stuffy nose and sneezing. Itchy eyes and nose are common if the rhinitis is caused by an allergy./p>


Treatment often involves over-the-counter and prescription medications and nasal sprays.
