Rotator cuff tendinitis

Swelling of the tissues, called tendons, that connect the muscles and bones in the shoulder.

Overuse and injury are common causes of rotator cuff tendinitis.

Symptoms include pain, often described as a dull ache, and stiffness around the shoulder joint.

Rest, ice and pain relievers can help. Physical therapy and steroid injections may be necessary.
