Stroke

Overview

A stroke occurs when the blood supply to part of the brain is interrupted, depriving it of oxygen.

Symptoms

Signs of stroke include trouble walking, speaking, and understanding and paralysis or numbness of the face, arm, or leg.

Treatments

A stroke is a medical emergency. Early treatment can minimize brain damage and complications.
