Tendinosis

Overview

Tendinosis is a breakdown of a protein (collagen) in tendons. It's caused by tendon scarring and lack of healing after injury from repetitive motions or overuse. This isn't the same as tendinitis, which is inflammation of a tendon.

Treatments

Treatments may include rest, ice, heat, physical therapy, stretching, and activity modification.
