Thrombocytosis
Overview
Thrombocytosis occurs when the body overproduces blood cells that help clotting (platelets). The condition can be caused by a blood and bone marrow disease or by an underlying condition.
Symptoms
Symptoms may include headache and weakness, in addition to symptoms caused by the underlying condition.
Treatments
Treatment is aimed at the underlying cause.
