Whiplash

Overview

Whiplash is a neck injury that can occur when the head suddenly moves backward and then forward, such as during rear-end automobile collisions. Injuries range from mild to severe.

Treatments

Treatment typically begins with over-the-counter pain relievers and ice. If pain persists, prescription medications and physical therapy may be helpful.
