6-grain hot cereal

Tip: Make a big batch of this cereal on the weekend and reheat all week. Top with fruit or yogurt to add natural sweetness.

  1. Add 1/2 cup uncooked pearl barley
  2. Add 1/2 cup uncooked red wheat berries
  3. Add 1/2 cup uncooked brown rice
  4. Add 1/4 cup uncooked steel cut oats
  5. Add 3 tablespoons uncooked quinoa
  6. Add 1/4 teaspoon kosher salt
  7. Pour 1 1/2 quarts water
  8. Boil over medium heat
  9. Simmer 45 minutes
