Broccoli with garlic and lemon

Serves 4

Tip: Try this technique with other cruciferous vegetables, such as cauliflower or Brussels sprouts.

  1. Boil 1 cup water.
  2. Add 4 cups broccoli florets.
  3. Cook for 2 to 3 minutes or until tender.
  4. Add 1 teaspoon olive oil.
  5. Add 1 tablespoon minced garlic.
  6. Add cooked broccoli.
  7. Saute for 30 seconds.
  8. Add 1 teaspoon lemon zest.
  9. Add 1/4 teaspoon kosher salt.
  10. Add 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper.
