How does the Center for Continence work?

Pelvic health issues can be complex. You may need to see more than one type of specialist, and it can be hard to know where to start. When you contact us, you will speak to our navigator. This expert will help determine who you should see first, explain the next steps, and provide education about your condition and related care. Once you begin to see doctors, nurses, and therapists, we will continue to guide you, so that your care is coordinated between all of your providers. This helps ensure that you get the most effective and timely assistance. The navigator will always be available to you, as well, to answer questions and help you understand the treatment process.

What doctors or other providers could I see?

Depending on your concerns, you might see one or more doctors, nurses, therapists, or other specialists. Urologists: Doctors who care for the urinary system (bladder, kidneys, etc.) Gastroenterologists: Doctors who care for the stomach and intestines Obstetrician/Gynecologists: Doctors who care for the female reproductive system Neurologists: Doctors who care for the brain and nervous system Physical or Occupational Therapists: Therapists who focuses on exercises and rehabilitation Meet Our Team
